Formostar Body Wrap FAQs
Whether the goal is to lose inches and gain a streamlined physique for a special event or to remove built-up toxins from the body, the Formostar® body wrap can help people obtain the desired results. Before trying an infrared wrap, individuals may have initial questions about the process, the effects and the differences between infrared wraps and typical detoxifying spa wraps.
Frequently asked Formostar® wrap questions
As with any medical or spa service, it is a good idea to get an overview of how the process of an infrared body wrap works and find out what to expect from the results.
What happens during a Formostar® wrap session?
An infrared wrap session works differently than traditional detoxifying spa wraps. Using targeted technology, silicone wraps are placed around various places on the body. The location of the wraps depends on the intended results and where the client would like to see the most progress. Once activated, the heat penetrates deep into the tissues and allows the fat stores that have been building up over time to begin breaking down. At the same time, the cardiovascular system gets a boost with increased heart and metabolic rates.
Much like the effects of an infrared sauna, the body can sweat out toxins at the elevated temperature. Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and can help the body burn more than 1000 calories during that time. Since the process involves sweating out toxins, drinking water is essential before the session and should be repeated during and after to replenish hydration.
What does an infrared wrap do for the body?
During the wrap process, the heat is intended to cause the body temperature to rise, cardiac output to increase and blood vessels to enlarge. Toxins are released through body sweat, simulating the effects of a workout combined with time in a sauna. Fat stores are stimulated and begin to break down. In some cases, improvement can be seen in chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis or acne, especially with sessions that are repeated over a period of time. Some effects can be immediate, while others may take a series of sessions:
- Loss of weight
- Loss of inches
- Reduced cellulite
- Improved skin
- Enhanced body contouring
How many sessions does it take to get results?
Some of the benefits of the Formostar ® wrap can be immediately felt and noticed. The process itself is generally relaxing, and the immediate relief from stress and muscle aches is a major advantage to this treatment. The detoxification process begins during the first session. Ideally, a series of sessions separated by two to three days provides the most benefits and results. After the desired body shape is achieved, clients can maintain the contouring level through periodic maintenance visits.
The Formostar® body wrap provides benefits beyond the typical spa wrap. Using infrared heat technology and silicone wraps, the treatment is able to target tissues deep within the body, stimulate circulation and burn a large number of calories in a short period of time.
